My career as a therapist began with non-profit work, mental health cases, and clinical work. I saw a need to provide quality care for those displaying signs of OCD, so I decided to train with the International OCD Foundation in 2011. Since then, I’ve been providing Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy to those suffering from OCD. I also have experience working with people from different cultures. Knowing how one’s culture impacts their OCD is key to providing them with the right care.
Moving to the United States from Italy at age 11 influenced my decision to become a therapist. I recall a lot of anxiety from that move, going into an unknown culture. I felt alone, and as I got older. I realized how helpful it would’ve been if I had a guide by my side. OCD also makes you feel alone. It prevents you from trusting yourself and makes you spend time trying to alleviate the anxiety that it causes. The isolation can feel incredibly disheartening. But you’re not alone. You have someone, a therapist like myself, that can be there for you. Members find me supportive, genuine, and a good listener. I want to work with you as you learn to navigate your way through OCD and into a better place.
