My approach to therapy includes warmth, empathy, and compassion, and I enjoy using humor and creativity. This is a judgment-free zone. I've had my own experiences with OCD and ERP, which makes me better able to understand your experiences and willing to modify my approach to match your needs.

I have OCD myself, so I understand how difficult it can be to start therapy. It takes courage to begin therapy, to take the steps necessary to foster growth. But if you're motivated to get better, that's already a great start.

Michelle is a gift. She’s patient and clear and very consistent in working with my teen.

I've been meeting with Michelle for a little over a year. When I first started NOCD therapy with Michelle, I never saw myself recovering and was skeptical and afraid that it wouldn't work or that I didn't have OCD. Now, I am the best I have been in a long time and can handle my OCD. Even though it was extremely hard to get where I am today, Michelle was and still is extremely helpful, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. From the beginning I felt very comfortable with her and I trusted her and still do. Michelle has helped save my life when I thought it was over and she will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Michelle took time to listen to Violet and was very warm - we both felt comfortable and I could see that despite the stress of a new situation, environment, etc in therapy, Violet was able to relax enough to have a rapport with Michelle. Very appreciative.

Michelle was friendly and approachable, and explained things clearly and well to myself and my teen, who will be working with Michelle. I feel optimistic about my teen working together with Michelle.

Michelle's lived experience with OCD makes her one of the best therapists that I've had. She understands everything I say and shows such compassion. There isn't an intrusive thought she hasn't heard or experienced, so don't be scared to open up and trust her. On days where exposures seem tough, she takes the time to listen and walk through your concerns and fears. She has helped me gain confidence in my decisions and work to be a stronger person. More importantly, she has helped me regain control of my life and make decisions that benefit me and not my OCD. I am moving locations and will be transitioning to another therapist, and although sad to be leaving Michelle's care, I know that i will carry her lessons with me for life. Thank you, Michelle, for everything.

My son has been in treatment through NOCD for an acute and debilitating episode of OCD. The work he’s done with his therapist over the months has been nothing short of transformational. I would even call it life-saving because without this nuanced, deep and effective work, my son simply would not be able to live the life he has worked so hard for as an athlete and as an artist. I also want to note that he is on the spectrum and that his therapist has been brilliant working with the duality of someone on the spectrum who is also suffering with OCD. Both of us sing the praises of NOCD far and wide and I’ve referred numerous people. Note: a key part of the reason that therapy has been so successful is that my son has been so committed and disciplined and working with his therapist and following their treatment plan. It’s been teamwork every step of the way- including me learning how to effectively handle his OCD since I was in advertently strengthening it through reassurances and walking on eggshells so not to disrupt his compulsions. It’s been a lot of hard work and a true team effort but I know that this treatment is not only giving him freedom from his OCD but helpIng to pave a stronger foundation for him in many ways in his life going forward. The icing on the cake is that insurance covers the treatment. Prior to finding NOCD I was unable to afford any OCD treatment for my son because it was so expensive. I am eternally grateful.
