About

My career began working with a psychologist doing psychometrics on children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. Because of that experience, I’ve been able to become highly skilled in assessing members quickly. It’s my goal to make sure you feel heard and understood, which comes from having real conversations about who you are and what troubles you. I love gaining additional experience in different work environments in order to help people overcome their challenges, which is why I’m excited to offer ERP therapy. Simply put, ERP works. And if you’re feeling shame or guilt due to your OCD, we’ll address that so you can start your path to recovery with less fear and more personal empowerment.

I am really excited to start working with you at NOCD! I understand how much of a big step that this can be but I do think it's a very important step that can get you back a lot of important things in your life.

NOCD therapists are trained by our world-renowned clinical leadership team.

Whitney is obviously a very experienced therapist and did an excellent job helping me work on my difficult type of ocd despite the restrictions I felt my faith put on certain aspects if exposure therapy. She listens well, asks excellent questions and will take your answers into account.

Whitney has been incredibly helpful for my daughter. I can't imagine anyone being more compassionate and helpful. She's super knowledgeable. Her process and tools reduced compulsions, and more importantly, prepared us for our journey beyond treatment. I highly recommend Whitney and NOCD! Now that we've completed treatment, we're going to miss her!

I chose (my therapist). specifically because her bio listed being “trauma-informed” and I have a history of trauma that other providers have told me could very well be connected to the OCD so I was hoping a therapist who was specialized in both OCD and trauma would be most helpful. However, I often felt invalidated, talked over, and dismissed in regards to the trauma aspects of my history. Upon reflection, I think the core issue was probably a lack of psycho education on what ERP actually is and how structured it is because I have engaged in a lot of other types of therapy previously and am just more comfortable with a collaborative and trauma-informed approach rather than the therapist being completely in charge. This led to exposures and exercises that did not target any specific obsessions or compulsions I struggle with, instead of the debilitating ones that brought me to NOCD and that I was paying to receive help to eliminate. Ultimately I chose to discontinue services and seek therapy elsewhere because I saw it as a waste of money to pay for exposures geared toward compulsions I didn’t have.
