I bring almost a decade’s worth of experience to OCD treatment, having spent time in private practice as well as intensive outpatient programs, community based mental health services, and more. I now offer specialized OCD treatment through NOCD, using a therapy known as ERP or Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). In the treatment community, ERP is the most commonly recommended form of therapy for OCD because of its proven effectiveness.
OCD’s intrusive thoughts require daily attention to alleviate the anxiety that they cause. The thoughts themselves can be so overpowering, that they create fear and doubt over who you are and what you may be capable of. ERP therapy teaches you how to manage your OCD so that your intrusive thoughts only lose their power over you. You’ll learn how to treat OCD thoughts as just thoughts, allowing them to pass by without obsessing over them. Overcoming OCD takes time, but the lifetime reward for spending a few weeks in treatment is worth it. You’ll find me to be compassionate, genuine, and honest. I’ve taken leadership roles in my career, and during our time together, it’s my goal to lead you to the success that you’re looking for.
