How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I lead with empathy, understanding, and calm. All of my life experience has led me to slow down and always remember that this is another person in front of me, and they're coming to me because I'm probably the most trusted source they have. I've had terrible therapists before, and those therapists did not listen. I never want to be that person.
What my Members appreciate about me
Someone told me this is the most comfortable they've ever been in a therapeutic setting with someone, and probably the most education they've ever gotten about OCD and anxiety in general. And I actually cried when we got off that session. That made me feel so good.
My message to you if you're struggling right now
Nothing beats a try. If you're thinking about therapy, what you're doing right now is probably not working. It's not making you feel good continuously. So nothing beats a try. But if you don't try at all, that's just going to add to the issues. I care about your human experience, and I really want you to start feeling better. So let's just try.
