I bring compassion, creativity, and a sense of humor to each session. I treat OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). In this approach, we determine which areas you want to work on, then create a plan to start conquering those problems. Treatment is always a collaborative process. You won't be judged here, and you can feel safe. It is truly gratifying to see my members grow and experience more out of their lives. My other focus areas include anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, school behavioral concerns, borderline personality disorder, and depression.

Why I became a therapist

I got into social work to help people in their communities and families, but what drew me to therapy was seeing how it can empower people to manage their mental health. My goal is to equip you with the tools you need so that, eventually, you don't need me. I joke with Members, "No matter how much I like you, our goal is to get out of each other's lives." Therapy is about giving you back your independence.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I'm incredibly nonjudgmental. No matter what you share, it will always be met with warmth and openness. Therapy with me isn't cookie-cutter; I see you as an individual, and I make sure you feel supported in your unique experience. I also use humor a lot—not to make light of people's struggles, but to take power away from OCD. Humor can help people see their thoughts in a different light.

What I want to help you see in yourself

I want you to realize that you are capable of doing this work. ERP can be tough, but I love when people reach a point where they say, "Wow, I just did that." That moment of recognizing your own progress, of seeing that you have the tools to take control—that's what it's all about.

The most rewarding part of treating OCD

Seeing people get to the point where they feel confident in their own progress is incredibly rewarding.
