My experience with treating OCD:

I've been a therapist for the past 15 years. Dementia and trauma make up a big part of my past. I've also treated Alzheimer's patients. Working with a wide range of diagnoses has shaped me as a therapist and a person, and I can honestly say that helping people brings me great joy. I've had some OCD traits myself, so I understand how negatively impactful OCD can be. I can treat you using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy because it's such an effective tool for overcoming OCD. I hope to see your life change because of it.

About Me

We often talk about anxiety, obsessions, and compulsions while discussing OCD, but what's equally prevalent is that OCD can make you doubt and question everything about yourself, including your morality, your identity, and whether or not you're a good person. Once I learn about the type of intrusive thoughts you're having, we can develop a plan to manage your OCD so it doesn't continue to control your life. Members describe me as straightforward and supportive. I will challenge you during sessions, which may cause discomfort. I like to stay that I "lovingly" challenge you, but we're certainly not going to rip the band-aid off. This is your time and your journey. Together, we'll get through this and bring you to a better place.
