About

My approach to treating OCD is rooted in evidence-based practices, particularly Exposure and Response Prevention, which helps people confront their fears gradually and learn to resist compulsions. I'll build a strong therapeutic alliance where you can feel safe, understood, and empowered to tackle your challenges. I'll help you understand your thoughts and behaviors and foster self-compassion as you work toward long-term recovery. I also focus on treating eating disorders, which often share challenges like intrusive thoughts and rigid behaviors. I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate the complex relationship between mental health and body image.

Shannon is an excellent therapist. She’s very kind and supportive, and she has been super helpful taking me through ERP for the first time in a way that feels appropriately challenging but not unapproachable. I think anybody would be lucky to work with her!
