My approach to OCD therapy is a holistic one. We'll look at elements like your relationships and life transitions to assess your symptom triggers and why your OCD persists. With a good, thorough understanding of the process, we'll make critical plans and take steps to ensure your progress and eventual success. Anxiety, and OCD in particular, can rob people of life while enticing them with false ideas of safety and control. I want to help you achieve true safety and regain effective control of your life.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

Anxiety and depression run in my family. That helps me understand the hurdles that Members go through and what they need to hear.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I spend a lot of time infusing relationship-building with psychoeducation. That means giving Members insights into what's going on with their OCD and discussing mental health in general. I make sure Members feel like they are able to express pretty much anything.

My message to you if you're struggling right now

Give yourself patience and grace. Sometimes, when my Members find themselves having a hard time, it's because they're overthinking ERP and making it a little bit too complicated. In these cases, I emphasize relaxing into the process. If Members are experiencing too much distress, we need to rework exposures because we're biting off more than we can chew.

What sets me apart from other ERP therapists

I spent the first part of my career as a neuroscientist studying the brain, how it tends to operate, and what it feels like when the brain does something "off." As a neuroscientist, I tend to bring a lot of options to the table in terms of how to challenge a specific thought.
