I approach OCD just as I would any other problem, by not giving it power. We don’t need to dwell on why something is happening—instead, we focus more on what can be done about it and how it can be better managed. This puts you in control of symptoms instead of the symptoms being in control of you. When I'm not working, I enjoy managing my own care. This includes attending church, volunteering for ministries, Bible study/prayer, spending time with family, learning new things, and enjoying outdoor activities.
Therapy is a safe place to heal. Every day doesn't have to feel like the day you had before you started therapy.
NOCD therapists are trained by our world-renowned clinical leadership team.
