I’ve been a licensed therapist for over 10 years, specializing in OCD disorders and treatment for anxiety. I’ve gained my experience working in private practice and a variety of agencies (youth services, foster care, family adoption), working with a wide variety of ages. Using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, I’ll show you how to self manage your OCD without relying on compulsions. ERP is highly effective, well researched, and proven to bring the results you’re looking for.
Personal experiences with anxiety have given me a great perspective on being a therapist. I also grew up with relatives that faced significant mental health challenges, so I understand the impact OCD can have on people’s lives. It can take time to get comfortable with therapy, because talking about your OCD is not easy. But once you’re able to open up about your intrusive thoughts, we can begin exposure exercises that will help you for the rest of your life. My work with adults, children, adolescents, and families has given me the skills to deal with any situation you’re facing. People tell me that I’m understanding and open. Even during tough sessions, it’s good to use laughter to release tension. I’ll give you the space you need so you can learn how to overcome your OCD.
