I want therapy to be a place where you can truly be yourself. My style is creative and down-to-earth, and I often use humor to make difficult moments feel more manageable. I know that even when things don’t seem to make sense, they often do through the lens of OCD. Together, we’ll work through your challenges, practicing self-compassion along the way. I find it so rewarding to see Members rediscover themselves. I also have experience with how OCD overlaps with trauma, anxiety, panic disorder, and body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs).

Why I became an OCD therapist

I first became a therapist to help people who have experienced trauma. While working at a residential treatment center, I had the opportunity to train in OCD treatment, and I found that I really enjoy working with this community. I discovered a niche that truly fits me, and I'm passionate about helping people with OCD and anxiety overcome the challenges they're facing.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I want therapy to be a place where you can truly be yourself. I come into every session with a nonjudgmental approach, no matter what you're experiencing. I also try to be myself in sessions, using humor and creativity to help you feel comfortable while we work through whatever you're facing together.

My message to you if you're considering therapy

If you're considering exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, I want you to know that it's worth it. It may feel overwhelming at first as you begin facing your fears, but I know from working through my own specific phobia how meaningful that process can be. Facing those fears can help them interfere less with your everyday life.

What makes my approach different

I like to be creative and have fun with my Members as we tackle difficult things. Even when OCD doesn't seem to make sense, it makes sense in the OCD brain. I also like to incorporate self-compassion and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) alongside ERP to support the work we're doing together.
