I bring a background in trauma-focused care across private practice and higher levels of care. I'll focus on building a strong connection with you through empathy, curiosity, and humor when appropriate, so you can show up as your authentic self. One of the most rewarding parts of being a therapist is watching Members conquer their fears and do things they never thought possible. I also have experience with how OCD overlaps with PTSD, anxiety, and perinatal mental health concerns.

Why I became a therapist

Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to be in a helping profession. Early in my career, I focused on PTSD and trauma, learning different treatment modalities along the way. As I gained experience, I realized there was a lot of overlap with OCD, which led me to specialize in helping people with OCD.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

This work can be challenging, so it's important to me that therapy is a place where you can be your authentic self. I focus on building a strong relationship with my Members by leading with empathy and nonjudgment, staying curious, and even using a little humor when it's appropriate.

What makes my approach different

My background in treating trauma and PTSD, along with my understanding of the overlap between trauma and anxiety-related disorders, shapes how I work with my Members and supports the care I provide.

My message to you if you're considering therapy

If you're feeling nervous about starting exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, I'd like you to know that's completely normal. The things we avoid are often the doorway to our freedom. ERP helps you move through that discomfort so you can live a fuller life.

Meghan is amazing and passionate about ROCD/OCD recovery. She makes me feel heard and supported. I’m very grateful to have found her as my therapist. For NOCD specifically - it would be amazing if there was a broader spectrum of insurances/medicaid coverage. Therapy is very expensive but a must when in the pits of ocd and it can be very discouraging when you aren’t covered and can’t afford it or are racking up a balance each session.
