How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I create a safe space by authentically being myself—being open and just coming in as I am. I think that helps my Members recognize that they have a space to do that as well. I also focus on meeting you where you are, getting to know you, and allowing you to put your shoulders down and feel more comfortable.
Why I became a therapist—and why OCD matters to me
I became a therapist out of my love for helping and supporting others. I love being a listening ear and giving my Members a space to vent, process, and just feel safe. I was drawn to working with OCD because I wanted to support people in moments where they feel misunderstood. OCD can be overlooked and underdiagnosed, and I want to give you a space where you don't feel like you have to explain yourself.
My approach to treating OCD
I'm a very fun, quirky, direct, and understanding person. I try to be authentically myself so you can feel comfortable being yourself. I believe that therapy doesn't have to feel strict, or like you have to show up a certain way. Just be who you are, and we can work together to figure things out. I'm also big on accountability. I'll check in with you and help you stay aligned with your goals—but in a way that feels organic and as enjoyable as possible.
The most rewarding part of treating OCD
I love the breakthrough moments. Sometimes a breakthrough is gaining self-awareness. Sometimes it's finally saying something that you've never felt comfortable saying. A breakthrough can come with tears, laughter, anger—but however it shows up, it's that moment of seeing the light in a dark tunnel. Those moments are what keeps me going.
