My personal connection to OCD and mental health
I have OCD, and so does one of my children. Working as a therapist, I've seen more and more people with OCD. Often, many don't seem to know what they are experiencing and have been frequently misdiagnosed. I've made it my life's mission to help people move through their issues and their struggles so that they can live a happier life.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
People need to feel comfortable with the person they're talking to. I provide a judgment-free zone, one in which you can reach your goals. A lot of my Members have told me that I'm just real, and they feel like they can talk to me about anything.
What I want to help you see in yourself
I want you to see who you really are—to see that you are more than your OCD, and that you can be the person you have always wanted to be.
My message to you if you're considering therapy
You're not alone in this path. I recognize the need for collaboration, and we'll work together. I've also done exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy myself, so I know it works. If we sit down together and really do it, we can get you where you want to be.
