I am a calm, understanding, and dependable therapist. I connect to all people with a non-judgmental warmth. We rarely heal alone. We first have to learn to trust others who are trustworthy. Through safe experiments, we can build our confidence and be ourselves in the world. As a transgender man, my compassion for others comes from years of struggle. I now live a happy, confident life, and I want to help others be happy and confident too. Beyond OCD, my focus areas include trauma, mood disorders, transgender issues, and alternative relationships and family configurations.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

I have a long history of depression and generalized anxiety— I'm currently in therapy with NOCD for my anxiety. It influences my approach to ERP because I have an understanding of where people are coming from when they're dealing with particular symptoms.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I don't necessarily tell Members that I have anxiety, but I can relate to the feelings they're sharing and I let them know that they're not alone. I understand what they're trying to tell me.

What I want to help you see in yourself

I want to help Members see their own personal strength and abilities, and boost self-esteem. One of the things I really enjoy is working with people who are also struggling with social anxiety. Coming out of social anxiety and into community is such a major transformation. I really like helping people along that path.

My message to you if you're struggling right now

You've solved your problems by yourself to the best of your abilities and it's okay you're asking for assistance now. I don't have any judgement.
