Therapy was a lifeline for me as I navigated early trauma and family challenges, and I carry that inspiration into my current work. OCD treatment isn't a one-size-fits-all approach; we'll customize it to your unique needs. I will create a safe space where you can openly share your symptom-related experiences without fear of judgment. Together, we'll work on distinguishing who you are from your intrusive thoughts and develop tools to break free from OCD’s cycle. I also have experience supporting individuals with complex mental health conditions.

How my experiences led me to this work

I began my journey with therapy at a very young age when I was going through a lot at home. That experience influenced both my personal and professional path because I'm committed to holding that space for others—to give them opportunities to grow and heal in a nonjudgmental environment. Another major influence in my life is my younger brother, who was born with developmental disabilities. I've always felt responsible for helping him have the best possible quality of life, and he's the reason I started my journey as a social worker.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I do my best to make my Members feel like they are the experts of their own experience. My role as a therapist is to help guide the process. Therapy is not something that can be done to someone or for someone—it's something that has to be done with them. I try to create a safe space where we can figure out that process together.

What I want to help you see in yourself

My goal is to empower my Members with tools and strategies they can actually implement in their lives, so they can see real results and move toward the life they want. I want you to see that you have more autonomy than you give yourself credit for. You have the ability to navigate feelings, thoughts, and situations that you may have once believed you couldn't handle on your own.

My message to you if you're considering therapy

It's important to know that exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy works and that it's the most effective treatment for OCD. It's also a collaborative process. My Members are an integral part of setting the pace and deciding how far they want to go. ERP should be challenging but also manageable and aligned with what feels right for you. My goal is to create a safe space where you can feel comfortable doing the things that are uncomfortable.
