I create a supportive, collaborative environment where members feel safe and empowered to confront their fears and gradually reduce compulsive behaviors. Although this can feel challenging, I truly believe you can handle it. I know this because you’ve already made the first and most courageous decision — to get help. In addition to OCD, I also focus on supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, and trauma-related challenges. I have a background in rehabilitation counseling, helping people navigate personal growth, career development, and overcoming obstacles.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy is the top treatment for both OCD and anxiety-related disorders. I know the difficulty of sitting with anxiety. I used to always be concerned about my heart rate or something bad happening to me, so when my Members come to me and tell me about their anxiety, I can tell them that it can become manageable over time.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
When I look at my Members, I think of my daughter, and I remember that they're someone's child. And if my child had OCD, I would want her therapist to be genuine, kind, and trustworthy, and to create a safe space for her to learn how to manage her symptoms. I show up to every session as my authentic self because I know it gives you room to feel safe, cared for, and understood. I want you to see that it's okay to share and open up.
What I want to help you see in yourself
I want to help you have a sense of compassion for yourself. A lot of my Members tend to be harsh on themselves because of the things that they experience, but they can be more compassionate to other people. I'll try to help you turn that compassion toward yourself, and point out your strength and bravery. I think you'll really be able to identify with those qualities when you actually see them in action during our sessions.
My message to you if you're considering therapy
ERP therapy can be challenging, but you can overcome challenges. It's doable and you're capable of doing it. If you commit to implementing the coping techniques that we give you, both in your sessions and outside of your sessions, you'll be able to see the reduction in symptoms that you want.
