Growing up, I experienced a trauma that led me to having OCD. This is a very common diagnosis that is misunderstood. I want to help people feel understood and not alone. In OCD therapy, I will help you accept fearful thoughts and exposure to triggers. You and I will work together, and it will take consistent action to reach goals. In our sessions, there is no judgment, and you'll be treated with respect and dignity. In addition to treating OCD, my other areas of focus include depression, anxiety, and relationships.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
I experienced contamination OCD and "just right" OCD when I was younger, which helps me understand and relate to the intrusive thoughts and compulsions you might have.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I'll get to know you at your own pace. If you're not comfortable talking about something yet, I'm perfectly okay waiting until you are. Being patient and giving you time to feel comfortable is really important to me.
What I want to help you see in yourself
I want you to know you can sit through the distress of intrusive thoughts. It can feel uncomfortable, but you have the power to be in that discomfort, allow it to pass, and keep on living your life.
My message to you if you're considering therapy
I know exposure and response prevention (ERP) may seem uncomfortable at first, and I know it can seem difficult to try something new. We'll take it little by little, with small steps, so you can feel more comfortable standing up to OCD and confronting fears. We're never going to start with something that feels too overwhelming.
