How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
Dealing with anxiety personally allows me to look at it differently. I've experienced things my Members go through, too, like losing employment, grief, loss, and trauma. Therapists are human, and we're not perfect, so we can't judge others. I'm here to provide empathy and support for you during your time of growth.
The moments that mean the most to me
When I hear that someone is now able to express themselves without fear, that their OCD has decreased, that they're able to manage things, and that no other therapist has allowed them to open up like I was able to, that lets me know I'm on the right path as a therapist. I also enjoy hearing my Members' stories, and when they're comfortable talking to me about other things going on in their lives besides OCD.
What I want you to know about OCD therapy
It's okay to have fears and what-ifs. I am here for you. You have a say in your goals and the work we do. I am in the passenger seat, while you are in the driver's seat as we take this journey together. I want you to feel comfortable and know that you're in control of what you do and don't want to do.
