I've learned through my own experiences how isolating mental health concerns can be, so I became a therapist to walk with others who are struggling. By starting therapy at NOCD, you will never be alone. The journey to mental health can be a challenging one. Think of it as an adventure; I'm here to act as your tour guide along the way. This is a safe space, and you will not be judged based on anything you tell me. My other areas of focus include depression, anxiety, PTSD, couples, families, adolescents, play therapy, mood disorders, schizophrenia, LGBTQIA+, and substance use disorders.

Get to know Hanna
Why I became a therapist
I got into this field because of my own mental health issues. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 19 and I didn't know what was going on when it started. My parents didn't understand what was going on either, because I went from a pretty average kid to a really depressed one.
My personal connection to OCD
My daughter has struggled with just right OCD since she started school. Even yesterday, she had a practice test for her reading and she only missed two questions, but she wants everything she does to be 100% on the first try. When it's not, she breaks down.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I'll tell you about myself to show that there's zero judgment on my side. I am here to help. I see the stigma around OCD, and things that you can start to face after being diagnosed with it.
What I want to help you see in yourself
I try to encourage Members to advocate for themselves. I think that's a really important life skill. When you're dealing with OCD and a lot of social anxiety, it can be really challenging to advocate for your needs.
