You're not alone in your experience with OCD. You are understood here. My mission is to help individuals realize they can lead fulfilling lives, even in the presence of OCD. My approach to therapy is member-paced, collaborative, empathetic, and supportive. I'll normalize the discomfort you may experience during treatment and encourage you to keep leaning into that discomfort; it's an essential part of the process. Together, we'll find a way to help you let go of the shame and fear OCD brings. I also specialize in treating anxiety and depressive disorders.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
I have ADHD and I've had OCD symptoms in the past. Back in Ghana, my home country, mental health is seen as a weakness. So, I know what it's like to be viewed as "other." It makes me more empathetic, because I have that personal experience of being dismissed.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I do whatever I can to create a space that's free of judgment because we don't often have that outside of some mental health spaces. I also set an agenda so you have an idea of what to expect within the sessions we have together.
What I want to help you see in yourself
I want you to see that you are not your OCD—you have an identity separate from the condition. You're resilient in the sense that you can handle distress. I tend to see a lot of Members who think that because they have a certain thought, it means something specific. I help my Members to be able to see that thoughts are not within their own control.
What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me
I often make jokes in my sessions—and I can be very silly sometimes. But, I am also a calm and relaxed person, which helps when I disclose information about myself that Members can relate to.
