My passion for therapy developed through my own healing journey with PTSD, where feeling truly safe and supported by a therapist inspired me to create that same space for others. In our work together, I'll use evidence-based methods to help you reduce daily symptoms and develop lasting resilience. I’ll offer steady, compassionate support, encouraging you to take challenging steps while making sure you never feel alone. I have a special interest in the link between OCD, PTSD, and substance use.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

I've been personally impacted by anxiety, including generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and social anxiety, which have been debilitating at different points in my life. Learning to embrace exposure response prevention (ERP) therapy has been effective in improving symptoms that once felt limiting, and it's helped me live life more on my own terms.

How my life experiences shaped my compassion as a therapist

I've endured traumatic experiences throughout my life, including a house fire, death by suicide, and grief during early adulthood. Those experiences deeply shaped my compassion and empathy, and they influence how I view my Members and what they may be carrying, no matter what stage of life they're in.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

My Members have shared that I'm very personable and calm, which makes it easier to open up about intimate thoughts or concerns. My relatable, down-to-earth approach helps create a space where you can feel safe being your authentic self, and where we can sit with difficult things together.

What I want to help you see in yourself

I want my Members to recognize that they have greater strength and resilience than they may realize. Over time, that resilience becomes a resource you can tap into. Even when symptoms feel limiting, there is more control and empowerment available than it might seem.

I'm motivated by actual progress made during sessions and with practice between sessions. This therapist is fully present each session; guiding & supporting me to recognize well-hidden compulsions. Once identified, the "quest to conquer" can proceed.

Even though treatment and practice between sessions is challenging, I remain ready-n'-willing for each appt. My therapist identifies the opportunities I cannot yet see. We immediately adapt those insights to form my steps to progress.

I'm delghted with my therapist match! Schedules align. Treatment focus, goals, exposures & response--all progressing well. My perspective is this therapist fully engages during sessions with an ideal balance of personable empathy &:professionalism that affords my trust. This Trust & safety removes my biggest treatment resistance so I'm open to guidance on how to help myself now & long-term.
