As your OCD therapist, I'll create a non-judgmental, supportive environment in our sessions. I'll learn about the support you need, and help you learn more about your OCD symptoms. Once you understand what's happening and why, we can work on fixing it. I'll help you break OCD's unhealthy cycle and shift toward healthier behaviors. I want to help you take back control of your life. My other professional areas of focus include anxiety, depression, phobias, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), sleep, and trauma.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I know that talking to a complete stranger about your innermost thoughts isn't typically people's favorite activity. I recognize the trust and vulnerability that it takes to engage in therapy, and I work really hard to earn your trust and to be deserving of it. I approach therapy from the framework that we're on the same team from day one.
My message to you if you're considering therapy
It makes sense that you might feel hesitant to start exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy. It encourages people to sit with uncertainty, and that can feel uncomfortable at first. Our brains like to tell us that discomfort or the unknown is dangerous, but that isn't true. ERP therapy can help rewire that part of the brain, and we'll move at a pace that supports you while still helping you grow.
My approach to ERP therapy
I like to think of our abilities as a toolbox. Some of our tools might be rusty or even broken, but they've helped us get this far in life. It's okay to not like your tools, and everyone needs to update them from time to time. I hope to help you understand your tools so you can decide what to keep and what to add.
The most rewarding part of treating OCD
When many of my Members first come to me, their hope has dwindled, and they've begun to accept a life they don't actually want to live. It's incredibly rewarding to see them start to hope again—and then expand that hope into goals they couldn't even dream of before treatment. Seeing people take back control of their lives and do things they never thought possible is what keeps me energized.
