My approach to treating OCD is based on psychoeducation. I'll coach you through your concerns, providing support every step of the way, addressing setbacks when they arise, and helping you overcome your fears over time. I'm here to walk alongside you from day one until the end of your treatment journey, and I like to check in often during sessions to ensure you feel comfortable. I am happy to adapt my approach or get creative. My other areas of focus include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and children and adolescents.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

I am very aware that OCD can make you have unwanted, very intrusive thoughts that are really against your beliefs as a person. That's led me to encourage Members to be really open and honest about everything.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

A lot of people come in feeling really nervous, so I let you know this is a supportive place and encourage you to share however much you feel comfortable with me from the beginning.

What I want to help you see in yourself

I definitely encourage people to speak up for themselves. I want you to realize when it's your OCD talking and not you. I really try to separate out what OCD is versus you as the person.

What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me

I never push anything. I keep it fairly open-ended. I try to give you as much time as possible to really dig deep.
