In OCD therapy, we'll work on breaking the cycle of avoidance while building self-compassion, resilience, and healthier thought patterns that support long-term change. I take a structured but flexible approach to sessions. You’ll always have a clear plan, but we’ll work at a pace that challenges you without overwhelm. OCD doesn’t exist in a vacuum — it affects how people relate to themselves, others, and the world. Because I specialize in areas like anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions, I help people see the bigger picture beyond their compulsions.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

I've struggled with anxiety since I was a child. It was so severe that I experienced physical symptoms like ulcers. As I got older, I realized it was anxiety, and as I learned about exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy, I recognized that I also have OCD. That connection helps me work with my Members, and I'm excited to be a guide for them. It helps me feel even more invested in the work we do together.

How my background shapes my approach

I went through a traumatic loss of multiple family members, so I understand the tendency to minimize your own story or the suffering you've been through. I have training in many different areas—including life coaching, somatic approaches, cognitive work, and physical and mental health—and I try to look at each person as a whole being. My goal is to help you understand that your story matters and is valid.

How I create a safe, supportive and conversational environment in therapy

I make my sessions very conversational. I aim to learn a lot about you and connect with your interests. Even if those interests aren't mine, I like to learn about them so you know that I value you as a person. I'll give you plenty of space, ask open-ended questions, validate your experience, and guide you in developing new skills. My Members like that I can laugh at myself and put them in the driver's seat. I may know a lot of things that could help you, but you're the expert on yourself.

What I want to help you see in yourself

Your strength, resilience, hope, and confidence. I know you might feel powerless right now, but you do have the power. My Members often come in talking about how hard something seems, but when they stick with it, the changes I see from the beginning of treatment to the end are incredible. I want you to know that you can do this, too.
