I treat OCD with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the best way to teach the brain and body to break the cycle of anxiety. Starting therapy is a huge step, and it takes a lot of courage, so welcome! Although it may feel scary or uncomfortable, those are the moments when we grow the most. Therapy is a space for you to learn, explore, and grow, in a safe space without judgment. I also specialize in treating other anxiety-related disorders, depressive disorders, and ADHD.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health

I have a family history of generalized anxiety and some family members with schizophrenia too. My experience with family helps me approach OCD with an open mind.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I'm a very calm, supportive, and compassionate person. I try to be as genuine as I can be, because I know that it's difficult to talk to people when you don't feel like they're being authentic.

What I want to help you see in yourself

You're in control of yourself and your mind. OCD takes a lot of joy out of things you enjoy, like spending time with family and friends, but you can get that back through ERP.

My message to you if you're struggling right now

ERP can be a scary process. OCD doesn't like when you fight back, so it might feel like it's getting bigger, but we keep pushing. Know that we do this in a way that's gradual, so it's not doing the scariest thing that you can possibly think of first. We work our way up to those harder things.
