Starting anything that removes you from what you know and pushes you toward something new can be scary. But just the fact that you're reading this means you're ready to pursue the life goals you desire. I would be honored to help you achieve those goals. My approach to OCD treatment is down-to-earth, empowering, respectful, and understanding. You are in a judgment-free zone, and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) is very effective. My personal connection to OCD
I've been through a lot in my life, and those experiences help me connect with people by being able to understand their feelings. I grew up having a mild case of Tourette's syndrome, and there are a lot of similarities to OCD with some of the thinking and tics and things that come along with that. I can understand the frustration of dealing with things that are beyond your control.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I'm always open to listening and hearing what you have to say. When you're in this space with me, I'm not here to judge you or make you feel bad about the things that you're thinking and what's going on in your life. You're here to work on those things and be your most true and honest self without any judgment.
My message to you if you're struggling right now
Managing OCD is a skill, just like anything else in your life. If you think about the things that took you time to learn and how you gained those skills, it's the same thing when it comes to dealing with your feelings, emotions, and thoughts. And you have to start somewhere. You can think of it as teaching yourself a valuable skill that you'll use for the rest of your life—but you have to start practicing in order to get better at it.
