My goal is to create a compassionate and tailored treatment plan that will empower you to manage your OCD symptoms effectively and enhance your overall quality of life. Our approach is collaborative and focused on your individual needs. We’ll work together using evidence-based methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Be prepared to commit to regular sessions and therapeutic exercises. Progress can take time, but you can achieve meaningful improvements. I have extensive experience in trauma-informed counseling, relational psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, and play therapy.

How my experiences shape my approach to therapy

Growing up in Mumbai, India and now living in San Francisco, I've been exposed to people from all walks of life, and I've been a part of widely different cultures. I believe I have an ability to recognize people's individual culture and identity, and use those insights to meet them where they are in therapy.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I make sure I'm always curious about what you're going through. I reach out as much as I can just to check in and see how you're doing. I also believe in the power of humor during sessions. We're doing heavy work in ERP, so it can be really helpful to lighten things up once in a while.

What I want to help you see in yourself

I really value helping people trust in themselves. So much of OCD comes from a sense of doubt: Can I actually deal with this? That's how OCD takes control. But when you stop trusting OCD, you can gain a greater sense of trust in yourself, and put yourself in the driver's seat.

My message to you if you're struggling right now

Change can often seem scary. But if you look at how OCD is affecting your life right now, ask yourself: Do I want change? We'll start very gradually. We don't dive into the deep end, and we'll constantly adjust along the way together.
