Seeing the mental health struggles of loved ones inspires me to help others. My father was a Vietnam veteran, and I saw firsthand how his PTSD impacted his life. I treat OCD with sensitivity and the understanding that everyone experiences symptoms that are similar yet unique. I enter the therapeutic relationship with an open mind and a desire to hear how OCD is impacting you. My goal is to meet you where you are in your mental health journey. I will work collaboratively and strive to truly hear you.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
My father had depression, anxiety and PTSD. It definitely made me a lot more compassionate and understanding of what family members go through when someone is dealing with a mental illness.
What sets me apart from other ERP therapists
I've been working in the mental health field for about 10 years. I started my work with individuals who are on the spectrum. I've worked across a lot of different conditions, including people with borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, ADHD, and anxiety.
What I wish people knew about ERP therapy
A lot of Members initially express that they're scared I'm going to make them engage in things that are terrifying, which is not the case at all. For example, I've had several Members with an intense fear of vomiting who are concerned that I'm going to make them throw up. First off, that's not ethical. We might look at the word "vomit," or write out a script about throwing up, or watch a video where someone does—but I'm not going to make you throw up because that's not healthy.
What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me
I like to bring in personal elements when appropriate. I always tell members, "I have several dogs, so you might see some fur babies pop up on the screen at some point." I have chinchillas, and I like to joke that if sessions get hard I can always go grab a chinchilla for you.
