OCD therapy is challenging but doable. We are in this together. I love learning about different ways other humans experience life and hold different perspectives about existing. Connecting with other people is joy! It is incredible to see people use their innate strengths and resilience to overcome challenges. My career prior to NOCD has involved high-risk populations, including homeless services and treating trauma in children in the foster care system.

What I want to help you see in yourself

I want to help you feel confident. With OCD, it's not uncommon to feel powerless or defeated. The possibility of hope is the foundation for any change.

My message to you if you're struggling right now

Even though you may not know what to expect, starting ERP can give you the groundwork and the understanding of how this mechanism works in your brain. That hopefully can give you the confidence to overcome it.

What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me

Especially in the early sessions, I tend to really take the time to get to know you and not just jump into it. I also try to give as much information and education about OCD—or other relevant diagnoses. When it comes to ERP, I make sure that you understand not just how it works, but why it works and how it could fit into your life.

The most rewarding part of treating OCD

Hearing members say, surprisingly quickly at times, that they're able to control and tolerate their symptoms much better. When Members go from 'my life is feeling outside of my control' to being able to spend more quality time with their families and do things that they haven't been able to do, that's a really powerful thing.
