I come to our sessions ready to meet you where you're at. I'll listen to and validate your struggles, then identify how we can overcome them. I will be part of your journey — I'll be there to support, encourage, and push you when you need it. We'll work together to face feared outcomes, to sit with uncertainty, and to tolerate the unknown. With time, you'll start to see small changes that become the big life changes you dream of. Beyond OCD, I have experience treating anxiety and other mood disorders.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
I've struggled with anxiety ever since I was a kid. I didn't really know it was anxiety because mental health wasn't talked about much in school or in my family. I just knew I would always worry about my health. I always thought something was wrong with me. Every symptom felt bigger than what it was. I was going to a lot of doctors, and they could never find anything wrong. Luckily, I've been able to do therapy and learn skills to manage it. And because of that, I decided to pursue mental health.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I've experienced really high anxiety and feeling stuck and overwhelmed myself, which allows me to take a step back and really validate people who come to treatment. I think it helps people feel safe and encouraged to know that this is common, this is something other people go through. And because I've been in it, I can understand when people say, "OCD makes me feel desperate, overwhelmed. I don't know a way out. I feel stuck." I'm able to tell them, "Hey, other people have been there. I've been there. I know what it feels like."
What I want to bring out in you
Your confidence and self-compassion. I think when you struggle with mental health, whether it's OCD, anxiety, depression, or anything else your confidence really starts to go down. You start to lose trust in yourself. One of the things that I hope to accomplish through ERP is to build back that confidence, while at the same time working on self-compassion.
My message to you if you're struggling right now
I know you're in a really hard space. I know it might feel like there's no way out, that you can't get unstuck. The only way that you will be able to know if something's going to work is if you try it. So try to take that step. You don't have to believe it's going to work. I'll believe for you. All I need is your willingness to try. Just come in with one ounce of willingness, and as time goes by, we'll increase that willingness. Slowly but surely, we'll start to see progress. And once you see it, you'll believe it.
