Licensed Therapist, LCSW
In therapy, first and foremost, I like to develop a relationship with the person I'm working with. I try to create a safe, open environment where you can feel comfortable telling me whenever you need to tell me. Outside of work, I love nature and dogs. I've never had one, but that's one of my dreams: to one day get a dog.

I know you want to do something that works, and this treatment really works. It can bring about pretty quick change, as opposed to requiring you to stay in therapy for 10 years. It's so rewarding to see what you can achieve.
I'm just a people person. I really enjoy connecting with people—that engagement and that relationship. I get feedback from members that I'm very warm and easy to talk to, which fosters a comfortable relationship.
I've always been interested in OCD, and ERP is a very specific, evidence-based, concrete treatment method that is effective. We want to do something that works, and this really works. It can bring about pretty quick change, as opposed to requiring therapy for 10 years. It's rewarding to see the effects of it.
In addition to OCD, I have years of experience treating depression and anxiety, including generalized anxiety disorder.
Come to therapy open minded, because this might be different than any other therapy you've tried. Come prepared to do some things that may not be comfortable for you. But I want to stress that you're always going to be safe. There might be some uncomfortable parts, but no one's expecting you to do anything extreme. It could be uncomfortable in the beginning, but it is so rewarding.
Give it time. I don't expect everyone to spill everything right away. It's not comfortable. I won't force you to share. I may share examples of other people in similar situations and educate you about OCD. I hope that will help you feel more comfortable sharing thoughts that you might consider difficult.
