What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me

I really speak the way that I speak in real life as a therapist. I like to be down to earth about it.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy

I check in with people to understand what safety means to them. I tailor that approach because people may answer that question in very different ways. In order to make people feel safe, I need to have a calm presence. I also have to exude confidence and knowledge that I know what I'm talking about. I'm not afraid to share an appropriate amount of personal experience when it's relevant.

The most rewarding part of treating OCD

People have told me in the past "you're like family." There have to be professional boundaries, but that comment reinforces the meaningful work that I'm doing and the importance of it.

My message to you if you're considering therapy

You have to start somewhere. ERP is a collaborative process, but it's something that we will start slow with and build up.
