I have OCD. I understand how disruptive it can be to everyday life. I also know ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) therapy works for OCD, because I have received it. I strive to practice with empathy, understanding, and kindness. I lean into a strengths-based and person-centered approach. (I'm also passionate about art therapy.) I believe you know yourself best. You have all the tools you need; therapy will help you identify and highlight those strengths. I hope to empower you to manage your symptoms and live a happy, fulfilled life.

My personal connection to OCD and mental health
I have OCD myself, and I was actually a NOCD Member before I started working here. When people talk about the different ways that OCD is impacting their life, it makes me remember when things were really hard for me. Even just leaving my apartment was hard at one point in time.
What my Members say helps them feel comfortable with me
I tell everybody during the first session that I have OCD myself. Sometimes people have specific questions for me, and I'm always willing to answer them and offer guidance.
How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I want you to have open communication with me, because I can understand what it's like to feel confused or unsure about the treatment process in general.
What I want to help you see in yourself
I really like to focus on each individual's strengths, and also on acceptance around OCD in general. Having you be able to identify your strengths is really important to me because I think it puts you on the path to being able to talk back to OCD and cope with it on your own.
