I’m going on 10 years as a licensed therapist, and have treated people with OCD since 2012. My career involves clinical work, private practice, and research into learning more about OCD and other disorders. I've also spent substantial time working with children and adolescents, helping them overcome their unique mental health challenges. Specializing in OCD requires experience working with the most effective treatment available called Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy. ERP is challenging, but once you take ownership of ERP tools, you'll progress through your recovery with confidence.
When I was young, I always wanted to help my age. At the beginning of my career, I shadowed a supervisor that treated pediatric OCD and became interested in learning more. During a previous role, I even got involved in an OCD clinical trial to learn more about this debilitating disorder. I use ERP therapy to address OCD because it’s well-researched and proven to work. ERP allows me to be creative with your exposure exercises. Once you embrace ERP, you’ll find yourself getting creative with exposures as well. Members describe me as encouraging with great instincts; I know when it’s time to motivate you. I’ve also had experience with therapy, so I have a full understanding of how important building trust is during sessions. Let’s work together to reach your goals and overcome your OCD.
