My approach to OCD is one of commitment. Albert Einstein once said, "The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know." I find incredible wisdom in that statement. Every day, I maintain curiosity and a commitment to learn as I pledge to better your growth and comfort. Whether you’re just beginning or are deep into NOCD Therapy, you're giving yourself a chance, and I couldn't be prouder of you. I consider the “a-ha moments” I share with members the utmost privilege. I truly believe your success is my success.

How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy
I've heard so many things, and there's nothing you can share with me that will scare me. I'll always let you know that some things you share might be for the first time, and that's okay. You are getting used to me, and when you're ready, you'll share.
My message to you if you're struggling right now
What you're feeling is legitimate. It's real, and it can be so hard. But can you commit to just showing up to a session and taking it one step at a time? How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. But honestly, even a quarter of a bite at a time. Whatever you need to do to begin. If you're already feeling stuck, can you try something different? What if this is the thing that helps set you free?
The most rewarding part of treating OCD
Seeing people who were hesitant at first, who doubted whether ERP would work, and then watching them realize it does-it's the warmest feeling. There's nothing better than hearing someone say, "I never thought I'd be able to do this again," and now they are.
What I want to help you see in yourself
That you don't have to live in fear anymore and that you have tools to handle OCD. When someone realizes that, it's like watching them step into a whole new life.

I am so grateful to have Brooke as my therapist. She has been very supportive and patient with me. I feel myself getting better. I am also grateful that she found that I have sensorimotor OCD. This is helpful because now I know what to work on. For my whole life I thought I just had anxiety but now I know that the OCD is causing my anxiety and panic attacks. I find myself doing things I was hesitant to do before or I just wouldn’t do it. I even tried new things like leading a group to a petting zoo, driving a group of student to an exhibit and joining them. I am happy to be getting my life back. Thank you for all you do for me Brooke. You are a good therapist.

Working with Brooke has been one of the best experiences of my life. When I first started therapy, I thought it would be tough—everyone told me it would be—but somehow, working with her is so easy. I’ve made more progress with Brooke than I ever have before. From day one, I knew I had found the therapist I’d been searching for for 14 years. ✨🥰 Brooke isn’t judgmental—she’s incredibly kind and lets you work at your own pace. She strikes a perfect balance between moving forward and allowing you to go at a pace that feels right for you. She makes therapy so comfortable and light-hearted, laughing through most things. Brooke feels like a wise older sister, sharing what I need to hear with compassion and empathy. Therapy with her is the highlight of my week, and I look forward to it every time. 🤗 She always encourages me to try new things and offers incredible resources, even when they don’t relate directly to BFRBs. She’s truly in tune as a therapist and always knows exactly what to do. I never question whether I’m making progress with her, and I feel so lucky to have this time with her to work through my insecurities. ✨🫶🏼 I’m so grateful the stars aligned and brought us together. 🌟 Her passion for helping people is so clear, and I feel incredibly lucky to be one of her clients. Having her on my team is a gift, and I couldn’t ask for a better therapist or a better person to guide me through this journey. 🥰🤩

I never knew my reading challenges were due to OCD. This is helpful for finding a strategy to overcome my challenges with reading.

I looked for another therapist to appease my husband and prove him wrong that the way I was trying to fix it would work if I just tried long enough, but I try to go into things whole hearted too. What I expected from ERP was to be forced into touching something and to just get over it, I was terrified to try, but that is not at all what I have found with Brooke. She is compassionate, committed and invested in me and my ability to get back my life! She has told me over and over that I can do it, that I am strong enough to beat it and that I get to have a say in what I'm ready for and how we do it. She understands my situation and the things that I struggle with and immediately took the power away from the thought that has controlled me for the past 7 years and steals my joy. She helps me understand how the little steps add up and she works as hard as I do to help make me successful. For the first time in years I am washing less, feeling better with uncertainty and being present with my little boy without panicking if he touches his feet or something dirty. I have a long ways to go and some difficult work to put in, but Brooke is by my side giving me tools, helping me tell OCD off and taking back the power that it has held over me for so long. Her compassion and honesty makes me want to work hard and she just radiates life and happiness, I really can't express how grateful I am to have crossed paths. For the first time, I can see what the other side of ocd is going to be like and the amazing life I'm GOING to have, I couldn't do it without the right person to help me through it.
