Over my years of licensed therapy work, I've learned to tailor treatment plans for the person I'm treating to bring about realistic goals. For you, that goal is to overcome your OCD. I've treated OCD at a local county hospital, worked on substance abuse cases for almost 20 years, and handled anxiety groups at the Betty Ford Center. I’ve developed my skills in handling a wide range of unique cases, and use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy because it's an effective approach to treating any OCD subtype.
It's crucial during ERP therapy to develop trust and confidence so you feel comfortable opening up about your intrusive thoughts. I enjoy the collaboration part of treatment, helping you find new ways to achieve peace of mind. My own positive experience with therapy influences my approach as a therapist. I know what you're going through. I'll make sure to create a non-judgemental space for you to open up in. The overlap between anxiety and OCD, how a person with anxiety has an activating event that leads to a response, is something I've seen leading anxiety groups. I enjoy seeing people improve their quality of life and being part of that process. Together, we can unlock your potential so you can live your life with daily joy.
