As a therapist working in outpatient therapy and psychiatric rehab, I often saw people exhibiting OCD symptoms but not always appropriately diagnosed. Now that I have become specialized in treating OCD, I can provide proper OCD care and diagnosis to more people who need it. During sessions, I’ll use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy to help you manage your OCD symptoms. ERP is well researched and proven to work for any subtype.
Once OCD gets a hold of you, it never wants to let go. Responding to OCD anxiety with compulsions is a natural response because you want the anxiety to go away. But compulsions only work temporarily and aren’t the big solution that you need to put your OCD challenges behind you. ERP can help you manage your intrusive thoughts by having you face your fears, which is challenging. I’m here to guide you, support you, and see you through until you become able to do ERP on your own. One of my biggest strengths is building relationships. I do that by being compassionate and genuine and creating a safe space for you to open up in. I’m ready to work with you on your journey to build up your confidence and abilities, so you can reach your full potential and overcome OCD.
