In 2001, I became a licensed forensic psychologist, treating anxiety disorders in the prison system. I worked with inmates on their anxiety issues and heard many personal stories about fear and avoidance. People with OCD also experience fear and avoidance, but it’s a much more intensive challenge. Fortunately, I use the proven therapy called Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to address your fears and release you from your reliance on compulsions.
I know that OCD interferes with your life and that it makes relationships challenging to deal with. It can take away daily pleasures and make you feel bad about not doing everyday tasks. The key to overcoming your OCD is ERP, but it also requires me to build a good rapport with you, so you can feel comfortable enough to share your thoughts with me. That way, we can meet your challenges head-on (with patience, of course) so that you can live the life you want to live. I invest myself in your change. I feel validated being part of your treatment success, guiding you on your journey. Members say that I'm good at connecting with people and that I’m professional, but at the same time, very relatable. I think you'll enjoy the way I run sessions, because we're in this together, to free you from the grasp of OCD.
