I’ve been a specialized therapist since 2007. Recently, I read about Stephen Smith, the co-founder of NOCD. His story about how he overcame his OCD inspired me to treat people with OCD. I love my work as a therapist, and look forward to teaching a new population the tools they need to get better. I believe in research and evidence based approaches, and practice Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy for OCD treatment because of it’s scientifically-proven efficiency.
Unusual thoughts are common, but if you have OCD, you experience unwanted thoughts that take a toll on your relationships, work, and social life, in addition to the physical anxiety that it brings. The work that I do will help alleviate that anxiety and teach you how to avoid depending on compulsions when those unwanted thoughts arrive. I admire anyone open and hungry for life-altering change. I enjoy human interaction. One of my great strengths is building rapport. It’s true that I have a speciality in treating OCD but you’re the expert in who you are, and I’m here to listen with empathy. We’ll partner together to build up your confidence, witha little humor along the way, so that you can achieve your goals.
